Yesterday Corbin and I visited Brian’s regular education classroom to teach his “typical” peers about autism, more about Brian himself, and how they can be a good friend to someone with autism.
Occasionally I try to take time for myself. Like a bubble bath.
It doesn’t always work out.
Autism Lives Here: A Sunday ritual.
Pictures that give a glimpse into our life with autism. Pictures that may show how distinctly different our lives are from yours because of autism. Or pictures that may show how similar our lives are regardless of autism.
The awareness ribbon for autism is a collection of bright, different colored puzzle pieces. The puzzle piece design was actually adopted in 1963 because of the mystery and complexity of the disorder, I believe that still stands true today in 2014. The different colors are meant to represent the diversity of people affected with autism and how different they all are from each other.
